Future Plans

I respect everyone who has the patience to work in retail. I personally do not see myself making a career out of it. I think that it has really helped me grow as a person and worker, yet I hope to do a few other things in the future.

I am a marketing major and communications minor. I hope that I can work at a public relations or marketing firm that specializes in beauty products or clothing lines. I think that my retail background will really help me with that, yet I do not think I would be able to stay in retail for the rest of my life.

I do totally recommend working in retail as a first job. I have been able to work on communication and interpersonal skills. I have also been able to become more assertive and think about solutions quickly.

Retail does have its ups and downs, believe me. But in the long run, I am very happy I decided to apply for a retail job!
